CE meets ICAO Secretary General (with photo)

The Chief Executive, Mrs Carrie Lam, met the visiting Secretary General of the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO), Dr Fang Liu, at the Chief Executive's Office this afternoon (July 11).

Mrs Lam said that the Civil Aviation Department (CAD) of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region fully supports the ICAO's new safety and security initiatives. She added that the CAD is committed to sustaining and improving the aviation safety standards of Hong Kong and to maintaining its position as a leader in the promotion of aviation safety within the region.

She also said that Hong Kong will continue to closely communicate with the ICAO and overseas aviation authorities to share information on best practices of security measures for enhancing aviation security.
