Shadow puppet theatre show Slapdash Galaxy to present creative and humorous performances (with photos)
******************************************************************************************
After going down a storm in Hong Kong in the International Arts Carnival 2015, Bunk Puppets from Australia will return in mid-July to stage another shadow puppet and physical theatre production entitled "Slapdash Galaxy".

In "Slapdash Galaxy" (with limited English dialogue), quirky Sam and Junior bid farewell to their mother, hop on a "vintage" spaceship and embark on a madcap journey across the galaxy to another planet. As weird and wonderful worlds unfold, an ensemble of extraterrestrials, including a scary toothed critter and a mighty star spider, are on hand to give them a fright.

Vividly imaginative and wickedly funny, director/writer Jeff Achtem and puppeteer Hamish Fletcher create an innovative alternative universe with fierce monsters and various characters made out of household junk. Integrating amusing storylines with the puppeteer's extraordinary skills, the show promises to bring about plenty of laughter. Audience members may also be asked to become part of the alien landscape.

Details of the performances are as follows:

Venue: Ngau Chi Wan Civic Centre Theatre
Dates and times:
July 20, 7.30pm
July 21, 11am and 3pm
Prices: $140, $200 and $260
