Land Registry releases statistics for first half of 2017

* The number of sale and purchase agreements for all building units received for registration for the first half of 2017 was 42,862 (-7.7 per cent compared with the second half of 2016 and +61.3 per cent compared with the first half of 2016).
* The total consideration for these agreements for the first half of 2017 was $373.16 billion (+8.7 per cent compared with the second half of 2016 and +96.9 per cent compared with the first half of 2016).
* The number of assignments of building units for the first half of 2017 was 54,753 (+27.5 per cent compared with the second half of 2016 and +59.1 per cent compared with the first half of 2016).
* The total consideration for these assignments for the first half of 2017 was $370.40 billion (+35.5 per cent compared with the second half of 2016 and +68.2 per cent compared with the first half of 2016).

* The number of searches of land registers made by the public for the first half of 2017 was 2,561,497 (+2.0 per cent compared with the second half of 2016 and +16.8 per cent compared with the first half of 2016).
