President Xi Jinping met with some 200 people from various sectors of Hong Kong at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre this afternoon (June 30).

     Accompanied by the Chief Executive, Mr C Y Leung, President Xi took a group photo with the attendees before delivering his remarks.

   This morning, President Xi inspected troops of the People's Liberation Army Hong Kong Garrison at Shek Kong Barracks and visited the Junior Police Call Permanent Activity Centre and Integrated Youth Training Camp while his wife Peng Liyuan called on an elderly services complex in Southern District.

     In the evening, President Xi and his wife Peng Liyuan will attend a welcome banquet hosted by the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government and the "Grand Variety Show to celebrate the 20th Anniversary of Hong Kong’s Return to the Motherland".
