SED to lead delegation of school sponsoring bodies to visit Shenzhen

     The Secretary for Education (SED), Mr Eddie Ng Hak-kim, will lead a delegation of representatives of school sponsoring bodies to pay a duty visit to Shenzhen next Thursday (June 22).

     The duty visit is organised in collaboration with the Association of China Trend Studies (HK). The members of the delegation will see for themselves the culture and history, infrastructure, technology companies and an entrepreneur hub in Shenzhen as a city in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Bay Area. They will also explore opportunities to promote education co-operation and student learning.

     Mr Ng will return to Hong Kong on the same day, while other members will stay for one more day for the rest of the visit.

     Officials joining the visit to Shenzhen will include the Permanent Secretary for Education, Mrs Marion Lai; the Deputy Secretary for Education, Mrs Hong Chan Tsui-wah; and the Administrative Assistant to the SED, Mr Edward Yu.

     While Mr Ng is on the duty visit, the Under Secretary for Education, Mr Kevin Yeung, will act as SED.
