Fatal traffic accident in Pat Heung

At about 2.34pm, a motorcycle driven by the 50-year-old man was travelling along Route Twisk towards Pat Heung, while a private car driven by a 43-year-old man was travelling along Route Twisk towards Tsuen Wan. When approaching Shek Kong Barracks, the two vehicles reportedly collided.
Sustaining serious head and neck injuries, the motorcycle driver was rushed to Pok Oi Hospital in unconscious state and was certified dead at 3.12pm.
The private car driver was arrested for dangerous driving causing death. He is being detained for enquiries.
Investigation by the Special Investigation Team of Traffic, New Territories North is underway.
