Wounding case in Wan Chai reclassified as attempted murder

     Police today (May 9) reclassified a wounding case happened in Wan Chai yesterday (May 8) as attempted murder.

     At about 2.22pm yesterday, Police received a report that a woman was attacked by a man with a knife at 12 Harbour Road. Officers sped to the scene and located the 33-year-old woman who sustained waist injury. The woman was rushed to Queen Mary Hospital in conscious state.

     Her 37-year-old ex-husband was arrested at the scene in suspected connection with the case. He is being detained for further enquiries. A knife was seized by officers at the scene.

     Active investigation by the District Crime Squad of Wan Chai District is underway.
