********************************************************************************
The following is issued on behalf of the Hong Kong Housing Authority:

The Hong Kong Housing Authority (HA) strives to provide a wide range of activities in its shopping centres to enhance the provision of services to residents and the business environment. The HA will launch promotions in its shopping centres for  Mother's Day with a view to expressing gratitude to mothers and enhancing the popularity of the shopping facilities.

"Residents may visit the HA's shopping centres on Mother's Day to show love for their mother," a spokesman for the HA said today (May 5).

On Mother's Day (May 14), visitors at the HA's Ping Shek, Lei Muk Shue, Mei Tin and Tin Yan Shopping Centres may write and post a "Message to Dear Mother". They can also visit with mum and family members to see the messages and have family fun.

There will be booths with fun heart-shaped photo frames from 2pm to 4pm on Mother’s Day at Ching Long, Choi Tak, Hoi Lai, Kwai Chung, On Kay and Yau Lai Shopping Centres for photo opportunities.

Also on Mother's Day at Ching Long, Choi Tak, Hoi Lai, Kwai Chung, Ping Shek, Lei Muk Shue, Mei Tin and Tin Yan Shopping Centres there will be booth games and clown acrobatics/magic shows from 11am to 4pm. Meanwhile, mothers visiting Ching Long, Choi Tak, Hoi Lai, Kwai Chung, On Kay, Yau Lai, Ping Shek, Lei Muk Shue, Mei Tin, Tin Yan, Siu Hong, Shui Chuen O and Nam Shan Shopping Centres may receive free art flowers or cookies from noon to 2pm.

In the afternoon on May 13 (Saturday) and 14 (Sunday), shoppers may redeem gifts at the HA's 12 shopping centres, namely Ching Long, Choi Tak, Hoi Lai, Kwai Chung, Yau Lai, Ping Shek, Lei Muk Shue, Mei Tin, Tin Yan, Siu Hong, Shui Chuen O and Nam Shan Shopping Centres, subject to spending requirements and quotas on a first-come, first-served basis.

In the afternoon on May 14 (Sunday) there will be artist performances at Domain, the HA's regional shopping centre in Yau Tong, Kowloon, offering a delightful Mother's Day to shoppers.

The HA's Commercial Properties Committee earlier endorsed the continuation of the discount scheme for bulk purchase of parking coupons by HA shop tenants to boost patronage, and the scheme has been popular among shop tenants.

The spokesman added that to encourage visits to HA shopping centres, free parking subject to spending requirements is also provided to shoppers at the HA's regional centre at Yau Tong, Domain, and Yau Lai Shopping Centre. Details of free parking is available at the shopping centres.
