PST to lead logistics delegation to Chongqing
     The Permanent Secretary for Transport and Housing (Transport), Mr Joseph Lai, will lead a logistics delegation to Chongqing on Monday (May 8) for a period of three days to promote Hong Kong as a premier logistics hub in the region.

     During the visit, Mr Lai will call on government officials responsible for logistics development in Chongqing. Together with the delegation, he will also visit logistics facilities including Western Logistics Park, the Chongqing-Xinjiang-Europe International Railway, Guoyuan Port and the Lianglu Cuntan Free Trade Port Area.

     The delegation will attend a luncheon seminar co-organised by the Hong Kong Logistics Development Council and the Hong Kong Trade Development Council with representatives from the local logistics industry. Mr Lai will speak on the industry development.

     The delegation will return to Hong Kong on Wednesday (May 10).
