Satomas HK Co. Limited was fined $100,000 at West Kowloon Magistrates’ Courts today (April 27) for violation of the Factories and Industrial Undertakings Ordinance and the Factories and Industrial Undertakings (Electricity) Regulations. The prosecutions were launched by the Labour Department.

     The case involved a fatal accident that occurred on June 30, 2016 at a container terminal in Kwai Chung. A worker was electrocuted while he was engaged in electrical wiring work inside the body of a quay crane.
