Here is an item of interest to swimmers.

The Leisure and Cultural Services Department announced today (April 24) that since the water off Turtle Cove Beach in Southern District, Hong Kong Island is now suitable for swimming, the red flag has been lowered.

The red flag was hoisted at the beach earlier on after a red tide was found.

Moreover, the red tide off Stanley Main Beach in the same district has subsided and the water quality of the beach is suitable for swimming. However, due to big waves, the red flag has been hoisted at the beach. Beach-goers are advised not to swim at the beach.
