SCED promotes Hong Kong brands in Macau (with photos)

     The Secretary for Commerce and Economic Development, Mr Gregory So, today (April 13) officiated at the opening ceremony of the 2017 Hong Kong Brands and Products Expo in Macau.

     Speaking at the ceremony, Mr So said Hong Kong products have a strong reputation for their quality, design and innovation both on the Mainland and in the world. He expressed the hope that, by presenting trendy and quality products in Macau, the Expo will enhance consumers' knowledge of Hong Kong brands and culture, and promote the development of the city's brands in the Macau market.

     "With the gradual formation of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macau Bay Area, Hong Kong enterprises will have more development potential and opportunities in Guangdong and Macau. I hope the enterprises here today can grab this opportunity to give impetus to the economic development of Hong Kong and Macau," Mr So said.

     After the Expo, Mr So will proceed to visit the Xiqiao National Arts Studio in Foshan and meet with Hong Kong business people in Guangzhou at a dinner gathering to learn about the opportunities and challenges faced by them there.

     Mr So will return to Hong Kong this evening.
