Draft Ngau Tau Kok and Kowloon Bay Outline Zoning Plan amended
**************************************************************
The Town Planning Board today (April 13) announced amendments to the draft Ngau Tau Kok and Kowloon Bay Outline Zoning Plan (OZP).

The amendments mainly involve the rezoning of a site at Wang Chiu Road from "Open Space" to "Residential (Group A)" ("R(A)") and "Government, Institution or Community" for a public rental housing development and a secondary school respectively; the imposition of a building height restriction of 140 metres above Principal Datum on a site zoned "R(A)" near the junction of Kwun Tong Road and Choi Shek Lane; various zoning amendments to reflect the as-built conditions; and incorporation of "Art Studio (excluding those involving direct provision of services or goods)" as a Column 1 use in Schedule II of the "Other Specified Uses" annotated "Business" zone and corresponding amendment to replace "Place of Recreation, Sports or Culture" under Column 2 by "Place of Recreation, Sports or Culture (not elsewhere specified)". Opportunity is also taken to amend the Notes and Explanatory Statement of the OZP to reflect the above amendments and to update the general information on various land use zonings.

The draft Ngau Tau Kok and Kowloon Bay OZP No. S/K13/29, incorporating the amendments, is now available for public inspection during office hours at the Secretariat of the Board, the Planning Enquiry Counters of the Planning Department in North Point and Sha Tin, the Kowloon District Planning Office and the Kwun Tong District Office.

Any person can make written representation in respect of the amendments to the Secretary of the Board on or before June 13. Representations made to the Board will be available for public inspection.

Copies of the draft Ngau Tau Kok and Kowloon Bay OZP are available for sale at the Map Publications Centres in North Point and Yau Ma Tei. The electronic version of the OZP can be viewed at the Board's website (www.info.gov.hk/tpb).
