Approved Man Kam To, Hung Lung Hang and Fu Tei Au and Sha Ling Outline Zoning Plans amended
***************************************************************

The Town Planning Board today (April 7) announced amendments to the approved Man Kam To Outline Zoning Plan (OZP), the Hung Lung Hang OZP, and the Fu Tei Au and Sha Ling OZP.

The amendments to the OZPs mainly involve the excision of the parts of the Kong Nga Po (KNP) site falling within the Man Kam To OZP and the Hung Lung Hang OZP for incorporation into the planning scheme area of the Fu Tei Au and Sha Ling OZP, and rezoning the entire KNP site from "Green Belt" ("GB"), "Agriculture" and "Undetermined" on the three OZPs to "Government, Institution or Community (1)" to facilitate the development proposal of co-locating various existing and planned police facilities in North District at the KNP site, and the excision and incorporation of a piece of land zoned "GB" on the Man Kam To OZP to the Fu Tei Au and Sha Ling OZP without changing its land use zoning to rationalise the planning scheme boundary.

The Notes and the Explanatory Statements of the Man Kam To OZP, the Hung Lung Hang OZP, and the Fu Tei Au and Sha Ling OZP are also amended to reflect the above amendments and to update the general information on various land use zones and the planning circumstances, where appropriate.

The three draft OZPs, incorporating the amendments, are now available for public inspection during office hours at the Secretariat of the Board; the Planning Enquiry Counters of the Planning Department in North Point and Sha Tin; the Sha Tin, Tai Po and North District Planning Office; the North District Office; and the Ta Kwu Ling, Sheung Shui and Fanling District Rural Committees.

Any person may make written representation in respect of the proposed amendments to the OZPs to the Secretary of the Board on or before June 7. Representations made to the Board will be available for public inspection.

Copies of the draft OZPs are available for sale at the Map Publications Centres in North Point and Yau Ma Tei. The electronic version of the OZPs can be viewed on the Board's website (www.info.gov.hk/tpb).
