SEN to visit Macau

     The Secretary for the Environment, Mr Wong Kam-sing, will depart for Macau tomorrow morning (March 30) to attend the 2017 Macao International Environmental Co-operation Forum & Exhibition (MIECF).

     Mr Wong will jointly officiate at the MIECF opening ceremony with government officials of the Macau Special Administrative Region (SAR) and other officiating guests. He will also tour the exhibition and meet with participating exhibitors from Hong Kong. Afterwards, Mr Wong will attend a networking luncheon hosted by the Macao Trade and Investment Promotion Institute.

     In the afternoon of the same day, Mr Wong will visit an environmentally friendly hotel, which has been given Gold certification by Macau's Green Hotel Awards, to see its green features and initiatives. He will also visit the Macao Typical Electronic Waste Pilot Treatment Equipment to get the latest updates on the waste management work in Macau. In the evening, he will attend a green dinner to be hosted by the Macau SAR Government.

     On March 31 (Friday), Mr Wong will attend the Green Forum in the MIECF and will give a keynote speech on climate change and green building. He will return to Hong Kong in the afternoon.
