URBTIX to use tickets with new security feature from tomorrow (with photos)
***************************************************************

A Leisure and Cultural Services Department (LCSD) spokesman announced that from tomorrow (March 28) URBTIX tickets will incorporate a new security feature, which is achieved by enhancing the printing quality.

Under the new practice, the URBTIX logo at the top right corner of the ticket will be created by hot stamp printing. Along with the existing security features, the new tickets will be more difficult to imitate. From tomorrow onwards, the new tickets will be issued for counter booking at URBTIX outlets. For prepaid tickets purchased via Internet, mobile app and telephone booking, new tickets will also be issued upon collection at URBTIX outlets or by post or courier. Existing tickets which were issued previously will remain valid and no exchange is required.

Existing tickets will also continue to be used at the Department’s three non-URBTIX outlet box offices, namely the Hong Kong Space Museum, the Hong Kong Film Archive and the Yau Ma Tei Theatre, while stocks last.

For enquiries on the URBTIX new tickets, please call URBTIX hotline at 3761 6661 from 10am to 8pm daily.

The LCSD spokesman reiterated that URBTIX has not authorised anybody to make alternative arrangements for the sale of its tickets, which are available only via the designated venues and channels. The public are reminded to purchase tickets through official channels to avoid loss from fraud, as buying or obtaining unauthorised tickets carries risks.
