     The result of the voting for the Chief Executive Election today (March 26) is as follows:

     Carrie Lam Cheng Yuet-ngor          777
     Woo Kwok-hing                              21

     The Returning Officer for the election, Madam Justice Carlye Chu Fun-ling, declared under Section 28 of the Chief Executive Ordinance (Cap 569) that Carrie Lam Cheng Yuet-ngor was elected as she obtained more than 600 valid votes cast.

     The notice of the election result will be published in the Gazette as soon as possible.

The Chairman of the Electoral Affairs Commission, Mr Justice Barnabas Fung Wah (front row, third left); Commission members Mr Arthur Luk, SC (front row, first left), and Professor Fanny Cheung (front row, second left); the Secretary for Constitutional and Mainland Affairs, Mr Raymond Tam (front row, fourth left); and the Permanent Secretary for Constitutional and Mainland Affairs, Ms Chang King-yiu (front row, first right), empty the ballot boxes in the counting zone of the central counting station.
The 2017 Chief Executive Election was conducted smoothly today (March 26). Mrs Carrie Lam Cheng Yuet-ngor (centre) is returned at the election.
