Approved Kwu Tung South Outline Zoning Plan amended

The amendments mainly involve the rezoning of various sites, including a piece of land fronting Hang Tau Road from "Recreation" ("REC") to "Comprehensive Development Area" to reflect an approved rezoning proposal; a piece of land at Hang Tau Tai Po from "REC" to "Residential (Group D)" for low-rise and low-density residential development; two sites which are occupied by Serenity Garden to the immediate north of Hang Tau Village and Ascot Park from "REC" to "Residential (Group D)1" and from "Open Space" and "REC" to "Residential (Group C)2" respectively to reflect the as-built residential developments. There are also other amendments to reflect the as-built alignment of the existing Fan Kam Road. Opportunity is also taken to amend the Notes and the Explanatory Statement of the OZP to reflect the above amendments and to update the general information of various land use zonings, where appropriate.
The draft Kwu Tung South OZP No. S/NE-KTS/15, incorporating the amendments, is now available for public inspection during office hours at the Secretariat of the Board; the Planning Enquiry Counters of the Planning Department in North Point and Sha Tin; the Fanling, Sheung Shui and Yuen Long East District Planning Office the North District Office and the Sheung Shui District Rural Committee.
Any person may make written representation in respect of the amendments to the Secretary of the Board on or before May 24. Representations made to the Board will be available for public inspection.
Copies of the draft Kwu Tung South OZP are available for sale at the Map Publications Centres in North Point and Yau Ma Tei. The electronic version of the OZP can be viewed at the Board's website (www.info.gov.hk/tpb).
