SCS profoundly upset over passing of Principal Fireman

     The Secretary for the Civil Service, Mr Clement Cheung, today (March 22) expressed profound sadness over the passing of Principal Fireman Mr Yau Siu-ming while conducting a mountain rescue operation in Ma On Shan.

     Mr Cheung said, "On behalf of all civil servants, I pay solemn tribute to Mr Yau and offer our deepest condolences to his family."

     Mr Cheung added that the Civil Service Bureau has been in close liaison with the Fire Services Department and will make every effort to help the family of Mr Yau during this sad and difficult period.
