Wounding case in Sheung Shui reclassified as attempted murder

     Police yesterday (March 15) reclassified a wounding case happened in Sheung Shui as attempted murder.

     At about 1.15am yesterday, Police received a report from a 38-year-old woman that her 15-year-old son was assaulted and locked from inside in a room of a flat in Kwan Tei, Sha Tau Kok Road – Lung Yeuk Tau, Sheung Shui. Police sped to the scene and, after firemen forcibly opened the door of the room, found that the 15-year-old boy was tied up to a chair by adhesive tape and sustained serious and multiple injuries; and an 18-year-old man sustained neck injuries. They were rushed to Prince of Wales Hospital for treatment in conscious state.

     Initial investigation revealed that the 18-year-old man disputed with the 15-year-old boy. The man attacked the boy with a knife and locked themselves inside a room. The man also hurt himself with a knife.

     Police arrested the 18-year-old man at scene for wounding and he is being detained for further enquiries.

     Active investigation by the District Crime Squad of Tai Po District is underway.
