LegCo Panel on Development visits Yuen Long (with photos)

The following is issued on behalf of the Legislative Council Secretariat:

     The Legislative Council (LegCo) Panel on Development visited Yuen Long this afternoon (March 3) to better understand the current condition of the sites for the public housing development plan in Wang Chau (the development plan). 
           
     With the company of representatives of the Civil Engineering and Development Department, the Home Affairs Department, the Housing Department and the Lands Department, Members overlooked the current condition of the sites for Phase 1, Phase 2 and Phase 3 of the development plan from the rooftop of Kam Ping House in Long Ping Estate, Yuen Long. During the visit, Members received a briefing on the latest information about the development plan by government representatives. They also exchanged views on the related issues.
           
     Members who participated in the visit were members of the LegCo Panel on Development, Mr Wong Ting-kwong, Mr ‍Michael Tien, Mr Chan Chi-chuen, Dr Kwok Ka-ki, Dr Fernando Cheung, ‍Dr Lo Wai-kwok, Mr Chu Hoi-dick, Mr Shiu Ka-chun, Mr Wilson Or, Mr Chan Chun-ying, Dr‍ ‍Cheng Chung-tai, Mr Kwong Chun-yu, as well as Ms ‍Claudia Mo, who is a non-Panel member.
