Taiwan craft beer brand ZhangMen lands in Hong Kong market (with photos)

     Taiwan-based ZhangMen Brewing Company announced today (March 1) that it has set up its first flagship store here, marking the debut of the natural brewer's expansion outside Taiwan by tapping Hong Kong's locational advantage and its buoyant craft beer market to spread the brand globally.

      The pub on Kimberley Road is located near Knutsford Terrace in Tsim Sha Tsui. It offers 24 varieties of craft beer, brewed by its own factory in Taiwan and shipped to Hong Kong directly, ensuring premium quality for customers' satisfaction. The pub also provides Taiwanese snacks to add more home flavours.

      The ZhangMen Brewing Hong Kong General Manager, Mr Ajax Lo, explained the choice of Hong Kong, saying, "Hong Kong's craft beer scene has been thriving over the years. The city is also relatively near our Taiwan factory, which for us means a lot of ease in logistics and delivery. Hong Kong is also at the centre of Asia and is the region’s economic hub. This advantageous location will help us promote our brand to other Asian markets more easily."

     Mr Lo also said he hoped that, apart from conducting business, the new ZhangMen pub would help Hong Kong reinforce its status as the hub of brewery culture and education by making craft beer even more popular. "As Hong Kong is a culinary capital, we would also make more efforts in food pairing, so as to let visitors and local customers enjoy the best experience ever."

     Associate Director-General of Investment Promotion Dr Jimmy Chiang said, "Hong Kong has a thriving food and beverage sector.
