CE to visit Shenzhen and Guangzhou

The Chief Executive will first go to Shenzhen and call on Standing Committee Member of the CPC Guangdong Provincial Committee, Party Secretary of the CPC Shenzhen Municipal Committee and Mayor of Shenzhen Municipality, Mr Xu Qin, and then visit the University of Hong Kong - Shenzhen Hospital. Mr Leung will subsequently go to Guangzhou and call on the Secretary of the CPC Guangdong Provincial Committee, Mr Hu Chunhua.
Accompanying Mr Leung on the visit will be the Secretary for Constitutional and Mainland Affairs, Mr Raymond Tam, and the Director of the Chief Executive's Office, Mr Edward Yau. The Chief Secretary for Administration, Mr Matthew Cheung Kin-chung, and the Secretary for Food and Health, Dr Ko Wing-man, will attend the visit programmes in Guangzhou and Shenzhen respectively.
Mr Leung will return to Hong Kong in the evening on the same day. During his absence, the Chief Secretary for Administration, Mr Matthew Cheung Kin-chung, will be the Acting Chief Executive in the morning, while the Financial Secretary, Mr Paul Chan, will be the Acting Chief Executive in the afternoon and evening.
