Government announces re-appointment of HKTDC Chairman

     The Government announced today (February 17) that the Chief Executive, Mr C Y Leung, has re-appointed Mr Vincent Lo Hong-sui as Chairman of the Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC) for two years with effect from June 1, 2017.

     "Mr Lo is an outstanding Chairman of the HKTDC and an excellent ambassador for Hong Kong. Under Mr Lo's leadership since June 2015, the HKTDC has done an excellent job in promoting Hong Kong's trade and enhancing Hong Kong's business profile in the Mainland and overseas markets. The HKTDC has also successfully helped Hong Kong enterprises explore new business opportunities in the Mainland and other emerging markets, particularly those along the Belt and Road. The re-appointment of Mr Lo as Chairman of the HKTDC will ensure the necessary continuity and smooth implementation of the various initiatives in the coming two years," Mr Leung said.

     Mr Lo is the Chairman of the Shui On Group and has a distinguished track record in public service.

     Meanwhile, Ms Edith Law has been re-appointed as Member of the HKTDC for two years with effect from May 1, 2017.
