Fatal traffic accident in Tuen Mun

About 3.25pm, a heavy goods vehicle driven by a 57-year-old man was travelling along Tsun Wen Road northbound. When reaching the junction with Ho Wong Street, it reportedly knocked down a woman.
Sustaining serious head injuries, the woman was certified dead at scene.
The 57-year-old driver was arrested for dangerous driving causing death and is being detained for enquiries.
The woman, aged around 70, was wearing a red and black striped jacket and black trousers. No identity document was found in her possession.
Investigation by the Special Investigation Team of Traffic, New Territories North is underway.
