Following is the transcript of remarks made by the Secretary for Home Affairs, Mr Lau Kong-wah, after attending a radio programme today (January 21):

Reporter: Mr Lau, you said the proposal is preliminary. What would you do if there is great opposition?

Secretary for Home Affairs: We have already conducted a consultation thoroughly. We hope that we can consult our stakeholders and we will listen to their views. And also we are waiting for the proposal by the TDC (Trade Development Council).

Reporter: Have you assessed the impact on the sport sector?

Secretary for Home Affairs: After consultation, of course we will do the assessment especially based on the result of the proposal by the TDC.
