Tenders invited for Lift and Pedestrian Walkway System between Kwai Shing Circuit and Hing Shing Road in Kwai Chung

The works are scheduled to commence in the second quarter of 2017 and will take about 33 months to complete. The works mainly comprise:
- Construction of a lift tower of about 30 metres in height with three lifts adjacent to Hing Shing Road;
- Construction of a covered elevated walkway of about 60m long and about 4.5m in clear width to connect the above lift tower and the southern footpath along Kwai Shing Circuit;
- Widening of the southern footpath along Kwai Shing Circuit between Shing Fuk Street and Hing Shing Road to about 2.75m;
- Widening of the western footpath along Ko Fong Street to about 4.5m; and
- Ancillary works, including improvement on pedestrian facilities, geotechnical, drainage, public utilities, landscaping, public lighting, electrical and mechanical works, and re-provisioning of playground facilities.
The HyD has commissioned Mannings (Asia) Consultants Limited (MACL) to design and supervise the works. Interested contractors can obtain the forms of tender and further particulars from MACL at 5/F, Winning Commercial Building, 46-48 Hillwood Road, Tsim Sha Tsui, Kowloon, Hong Kong.
The invitation to tender was gazetted today. Submission of tenders will be closed at noon on February 24, 2017 (Friday).
