Fatal traffic accident in Sha Tin

At about 11.12pm, a special purpose vehicle (SPV) driven by the 41-year-old man was travelling along Lai Ping Road towards Sha Tin. When approaching Tai Po Road – Ma Liu Shui, it reportedly rammed into the railings and fell down a slope.
Sustaining serious head injuries, the driver was rushed to Prince of Wales Hospital in unconscious state and was certified dead at 11.49pm.
Investigation by the Special Investigation Team of Traffic, New Territories South is underway.
