Murder in Tai Po

About 2.50am, Police received a report that a man was attacked by another man with a knife at a sitting-out area at 6 Chung Nga Road.
Police officers sped to the scene and found the 54-year-old man lying unconsciously at scene. Sustaining cut wound on his abdomen, the man was rushed to Alice Ho Miu Ling Nethersole Hospital in unconscious state where he was certified dead at 3.40am.
Initial investigations revealed that the deceased disputed with a 48-year-old man and was attacked by him with a knife. The man then left the scene.
A knife in suspected connection with the case was seized at scene.
Police later arrested the man for murder in a unit nearby. He is being detained for further enquiries.
Post-mortem examinations on the deceased will be conducted later to ascertain the cause of his death.
Active investigations by the District Crime Squad of Tai Po are under way.
