Appointment of Non-Executive Director of SFC

Mr Cheng is the Deputy Chairman and Chief Executive of Wing Tai Properties Limited.
Announcing the appointment today (December 9), a Government spokesman said, "Mr Cheng has a wealth of expertise and experience in corporate governance and public services. We believe that he will provide invaluable contribution to the work of the SFC."
The spokesman added, "We would also like to thank the outgoing Non-Executive Director, Professor Leonard Cheng Kwok-hon, for his active and invaluable contribution to the work of the SFC during his service as a non-executive director of the SFC over the past six years. We look forward to his continued support to the further development of the financial services sector in Hong Kong."
The SFC is chaired by Mr Carlson Tong. Other serving Non-Executive Directors are Mr Albert Au Siu-cheung, Mr Lester Garson Huang, Ms Teresa Ko Yuk-yin, Ms Mary Ma Xuezheng, Dr William Wong Ming-fung and Dr Kelvin Wong Tin-yau.
