The Town Planning Board today (November 18) announced amendments to the approved Chai Wan Outline Zoning Plan (OZP).

     The amendments mainly involve the rezoning of a site at the junction of Chai Wan Road, Wing Ping Street and San Ha Street from "Open Space" to "Residential (Group A)" with stipulation of building height restriction and a site at Cape Collinson Road from "Other Specified Uses" annotated "Funeral Parlour" to "Other Specified Uses" annotated "Columbarium" with stipulation of building height restriction, and incorporation of "Art Studio (excluding those involving direct provision of services or goods)" as a Column 1 use in "Industrial" zone and Schedule II of the "Other Specified Uses" annotated "Business" zone. Opportunity is also taken to amend the Notes and Explanatory Statement of the OZP to reflect the above amendments and to update the general information of various land use zonings and the planning area, where appropriate.

     The draft Chai Wan Outline Zoning Plan No. S/H20/22 incorporating the amendments is now available for public inspection during office hours at the Secretariat of the Board, the Planning Enquiry Counters of the Planning Department in North Point and Sha Tin, the Hong Kong District Planning Office and the Eastern District Office.

     Any person can make written representation in respect of the amendments to the Secretary of the Board on or before January 18, 2017. Representations made to the Board will be available for public inspection.

     Copies of the draft Chai Wan OZP are available for sale at the Map Publications Centres in North Point and Yau Ma Tei. The electronic version of the OZP can be viewed at the Board's website (www.info.gov.hk/tpb).
