***************************************************************

The Town Planning Board today (October 28) announced the publication of the draft Urban Renewal Authority (URA) Hung Fook Street/Ngan Hon Street Development Scheme Plan (DSP) No. S/K9/URA2/1.

The scheme area covers about 0.45 hectares and is designated as "Residential (Group A)8". The scheme is for a composite residential/commercial development with an underground car park that will accommodate car parking spaces and loading/unloading facilities ancillary to development or redevelopments commenced by the URA in the area, as well as coach parking spaces. A through road connecting Hung Fook Street and Ngan Hon Street is proposed on ground level, which will form part of the URA's proposed new road network running north-south and extending southwards towards Wan On Street through other URA development project sites between Bailey Street and Hung Fook Street.

In accordance with section 25(9) of the URA Ordinance, the draft DSP replaces the draft Hung Hom Outline Zoning Plan in relation to the area delineated and described in the draft DSP.

The draft URA Hung Fook Street/Ngan Hon Street DSP No. S/K9/URA2/1 is now available for public inspection during office hours at the Secretariat of the Town Planning Board, the Planning Enquiry Counters in North Point and Sha Tin, the Kowloon District Planning Office and the Kowloon City District Office.

Any person can make written representations in respect of the draft DSP to the Secretary of the Board on or before December 28. Representations made to the Board will be available for public inspection.

Copies of the draft DSP are available for sale at the Map Publications Centres in North Point and Yau Ma Tei. The electronic version of the DSP can be viewed at the Town Planning Board's website at www.info.gov.hk/tpb.
