CE meets Chairman of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region (with photo)
******************************************************************
The Chief Executive, Mr C Y Leung, met the visiting Chairman of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, Mr Chen Wu, today (October 12) to exchange views on issues of mutual concern.

Mr Leung welcomed Mr Chen on his visit to Hong Kong to attend the Guangxi-Hong Kong CEPA Cooperation Symposium. He remarked that given the close economic and trade ties between Hong Kong and Guangxi, Hong Kong could act as a "super-connector" and offer an excellent platform for enterprises in Guangxi to expand businesses overseas. At the Symposium this morning, the Guangxi and HKSAR governments signed agreements on transport and logistics as well as financial services.

Mr Leung said he hoped that Hong Kong and Guangxi could continue to make use of the opportunities brought about by the Mainland and Hong Kong Closer Economic Partnership Arrangement (CEPA) to deepen economic and trade exchanges and co-operation between the two places.
