Hospital Authority announces senior appointment (with photo)

The Hospital Authority (HA) spokesman today (September 22) announced the appointment of Mr Lawrence Poon Yan-wing as Chief Manager (Nursing) with effect from March 1, 2017, to succeed Ms Jane Liu Wai-han upon her retirement.
Mr Poon is an experienced nurse executive. He is currently the Cluster General Manager (Nursing) of Hong Kong East Cluster, a position he has held since November 2014. Prior to this, he served as Senior Nursing Officer of Pamela Youde Nethersole Eastern Hospital.
Mr Poon possesses over 20 years of nursing management experience. He is experienced in nursing manpower planning and hospital accreditation. He oversees the training and development of nursing and supporting staff and different cluster projects. He is also responsible for steering the annual planning process and formulating strategies for nursing service development in the Hong Kong East Cluster.
The HA Chairman, Professor John Leong Chi-yan, and the Chief Executive, Dr Leung Pak-yin, congratulate Mr Poon on his new appointment and wish him every success in taking up the new post.
