Police today (August 30) appealed to the public for information on a fatal traffic accident in Ngau Tau Kok on August 25 in which a 40-year-old woman died.

     At about 0.30am on that day, a private car driven by a 38-year-old man was travelling along Kwun Tong Road towards Kwun Tong. When approaching MTR Kowloon Bay Station, it reportedly knocked down the 40-year-old woman who was crossing the road.

     Sustaining serious head injuries, the female pedestrian was rushed to Queen Elizabeth Hospital in unconscious state and was certified dead at 4.09pm yesterday (August 29).

     Active investigation by the Special Investigation Team of Traffic, Kowloon East is underway.
