Fatal traffic accident in Tseung Kwan O

     Police are investigating a fatal traffic accident in Tseung Kwan O today (August 26) in which a 41-year-old man died.

     At about 7am, a motorcycle driven by a 41-year-old man and a coach driven by a 59-year-old man were travelling along Tseung Kwan O Tunnel towards Kowloon. When reaching near the tunnel exit, the motorcycle reportedly lost control and fell on the ground, and the coach failed to stop and rammed into the motorcycle.

     The motorcycle driver was trapped under the coach and was rescued by firemen. Sustaining serious head injuries, he was certified dead at scene.

     The coach driver was arrested for dangerous driving causing death. He has been released on bail pending further enquiries and is required to report back to Police in early September.

     Investigation by the Special Investigation Team of Traffic, Kowloon East is underway.
