"Touch - Hong Kong International Poster Triennial 2017" calls for entries
*************************************************************************
"Touch - Hong Kong International Poster Triennial 2017", jointly presented by the Leisure and Cultural Services Department and the Hong Kong Designers Association and organised by the Hong Kong Heritage Museum, is now calling for entries. Designers from all countries and regions are welcome to participate and the deadline is October 31.

Five editions of the Hong Kong International Poster Triennial have been organised since its debut in 2001. The event comprises three major parts, namely an international poster design competition, an exhibition and a forum. It aims at assembling a distinct international poster collection and fostering graphic design education and cultural exchange with other countries and regions.

This year's activity has "Touch" as its theme. The international poster design competition will be organised under four categories: "Ideology", "Promotion of Cultural Events", "Commercial and Advertising" and "Thematic - 'Touching'". The competition will be conducted in accordance with the regulations and guidelines of the International Council of Design. Judging assessment will be based on originality, creativity and technical competence.

The assessment panel comprises five internationally renowned designers, namely Mr Kjell Ekhorn (Norway), Mr Kazunari Hattori (Japan), Mr Tommy Li (Hong Kong), Ms Ariane Spanier (Germany) and Mr Niklaus Troxler (Switzerland). Each category will have Gold, Silver and Bronze Awards, and the five judges will each select one outstanding entry from all entries to be presented with the Judges Awards, to be named after the respective judges. All award winners will receive trophies. All selected entries will be published in the exhibition catalogue and be featured in the exhibition to be held in 2017 at the Hong Kong Heritage Museum.

All entries must reach the Hong Kong Heritage Museum (1 Man Lam Road, Sha Tin) on or before 5pm, October 31. The results will be announced on the website of the museum in March 2017.
