A spokesman for the Hong Kong Observatory said today (August 10) that, owing to the malfunctioning of the Observatory's Dial-a-Weather system, the system could not function properly. After urgent repair, the service returned to normal at around 1pm. The Observatory will investigate the cause of the system failure to prevent recurrence of similar incidents.
