The President of the Legislative Council (LegCo), Mr Jasper Tsang, hosted the End-of-term Dinner for the Fifth LegCo tonight (July 11) in the Dining Hall of the LegCo Complex. Around 100 guests including the Chief Executive, Mr C Y Leung, Executive Council Members, senior Government officials and LegCo Members attended the End-of-term Dinner.
In his opening remarks, Mr Tsang, said it was the last time for him as President of LegCo to host a gathering for Government officials and LegCo Members. He said, "I sincerely hope that after the composition of the new LegCo and election of the new LegCo President, it would create a better relationship between the Executive Authorities and the Legislature."
He also thanked the Government officials, LegCo Members and the Secretariat staff for their understanding and support over the past years. He wishes all every success in the future.
