Police receive Lam Wing Kee's request for assistance

     Police received Mr Lam Wing Kee's request for assistance this morning (July 1), claiming that he was told by a friend that he was being followed on June 29. He also suspected he was being followed yesterday (June 30). Police met with Mr Lam immediately. However, as Mr Lam did not have time to record a statement today, he only provided some preliminary information to Police verbally.

     Police had already recorded statement with Mr Lam's friend and related witnesses. Police have arranged a meeting to record statement with Mr Lam tomorrow (July 2) noon. Police will take appropriate follow-up action and investigation according to the information provided.

     There is no evidence to suggest that Mr Lam's personal safety is at risk at this stage. Police have made appropriate suggestions to Mr Lam and reminded him to call 999 for assistance if necessary.
