Appeal for information on woman seriously injured in Ngau Tau Kok traffic accident

     Police are anxious to locate the relatives of a woman who was seriously injured in a traffic accident in Ngau Tau Kok tonight (June 28).

     About 7.30pm, a light-goods-vehicle (LGV) driven by a 50-year-old man was traveling along Ngau Tau Kok Road towards Kowloon Bay. When approaching near 120 Ngau Tau Kok Road, it reportedly knocked down a woman who was crossing the road.

     The woman sustained serious head injuries and was rushed to Queen Elizabeth Hospital in unconscious state.

     She is about 60 to 70 years old, 1.6 metres tall and of medium build. She has a pointed face with yellow complexion and short black hair. She was wearing a black shirt with short sleeves and pattern, brown shorts and dark brown slippers. No identity document was found in her possession.

     The driver was arrested for dangerous driving causing grievous bodily harm after the accident.

     Investigation by the Special Investigation Team of Traffic, Kowloon East is underway.
 
     Police urge relatives of the woman and anyone who witnessed the accident or has any information to offer to contact the investigating officers at 2305 7560 or 2305 7500.
