S for S deeply saddened by death of Senior Fireman

The Secretary for Security, Mr Lai Tung-kwok, today (June 24) was deeply saddened by the death of Senior Fireman, Mr Hui Chi-kit. Mr Hui was found unconscious while attending a No. 4 alarm fire on Ngau Tau Kok Road yesterday. He was rushed to the United Christian Hospital where he passed away later.
"I am profoundly grieved at the loss of another fireman. I offer my deepest condolences to the family of the late Mr Hui," Mr Lai said.
Mr Lai said that the Fire Services Department would make every effort to support and help the family of the late Mr Hui. He also expressed sincere wishes for speedy recovery of other injured fire officers.
