S for S expresses grief over fireman's death

The Secretary for Security, Mr Lai Tung-kwok, today (June 21) expressed his grief over the passing of Senior Station Officer, Mr Thomas Cheung, and offered deepest condolences to his family. Mr Cheung sustained serious injuries while fighting a fire on Ngau Tau Kok Road in Ngau Chi Wan today. He was rushed to hospital for treatment but succumbed to his injuries later.
"The Fire Services Department will provide the necessary support and assistance to his family," Mr Lai said.
