Government to sell two sites by public tender

     The Lands Department (LandsD) announced today (June 17) that a residential site and an industrial site in the 2016-17 Land Sale Programme will be disposed of by public tender.

     The two sites are Sha Tin Town Lot No. 609 in To Shek, Sha Tin, New Territories, and Kwai Chung Town Lot No. 478 at the junction of Wing Kei Road and Wing Kin Road, Kwai Chung, New Territories. The tender invitation for Sha Tin Town Lot No. 609 will commence on June 24 and close on August 5. The tender invitation for Kwai Chung Town Lot No. 478 will commence on June 24 and close on August 12.

     Sha Tin Town Lot No. 609 has a site area of about 13,500 square metres and is designated for private residential purposes. The minimum gross floor area and the maximum gross floor area are 24,192 sq m and 40,320 sq m respectively.

     Kwai Chung Town Lot No. 478 has a site area of about 3,707 sq m and the permissible uses are: industrial; godown and ancillary office; office in direct support of an industrial operation; information technology and telecommunications industries; research, design and development centre; laboratory, inspection and testing centre; audio-visual recording studio; media design and media production; workshop for laundering, dry cleaning, tailoring or repair of goods; vehicle repair workshop, vehicle inspection centre or vehicle testing centre; cargo handling and forwarding facilities; showroom ancillary to factory; motor vehicle showroom on the ground floor; recyclable collection centre; and a combination of any of the permissible uses. The minimum gross floor area and the maximum gross floor area are 21,130 sq m (comprising godown of at least 10,565 sq m) and 35,216 sq m respectively.

     Land sale documents including the Forms of Tender, the Tender Notices, the Conditions of Sale and the sale plans of the two lots will be available for downloading from the LandsD website (www.landsd.gov.hk), and the sale plans will be available for distribution and inspection by the public from June 24, when the particulars of the tenders will also be gazetted.
