The Commissioner for Labour, Mr Donald Tong, is saddened by the passing of Mr Stanley Lau and expressed his deepest condolences to Mr Lau's family.
Mr Tong today (June 12) said, "Mr Stanley Lau had been an employer representative of the Labour Advisory Board (LAB) since 2004 and was a very experienced LAB member. He also served as a member of the Standard Working Hours Committee (SWHC) since 2013. During the period, Mr Lau actively took part in discussions on various labour issues, including the minimum wage, and contributed significantly to the LAB and the SWHC. On behalf of the Labour Department, I would like to extend our deepest condolences to his family."
