Police are investigating a fatal traffic accident in Lantau North in the small hours today (June 12) in which a 39-year-old man died.
About 4 am, a medium goods vehicle (MGV) driven by the 39-year-old man was travelling along North Lantau Highway towards Kowloon. When reaching near Siu Ho Wan, it reportedly lost control and rammed onto the kerb.
Sustaining serious head injuries, the driver was rushed to North Lantau Hospital in unconscious state and was certified dead at 4.49am.
Investigation by the Special Investigation Team of Traffic, New Territories South is underway.
