Police appeal for information on fatal traffic accident in Hung Hom

     Police today (June 10) appealed to the public for information on a fatal traffic accident in Hung Hom on June 4 in which a 73-year-old man died.
 
     About 4.30pm on that day, a bus driven by a 45-year-old man was travelling along San Ma Tau Street west bound. When approaching To Kwa Wan Road, it reportedly knocked down the 73-year-old man who was crossing the road.
 
     Sustaining serious injuries, the male pedestrian was rushed to Queen Elizabeth Hospital in unconscious state and was certified dead at 6.15pm on June 6.
 
     The bus driver was arrested for dangerous driving causing grievous bodily harm after the accident. He has been released on bail pending further enquiries and is required to report back to Police in early July.
 
     Active investigation by the Special Investigation Team of Traffic, Kowloon West is underway.
