Young artists from Cantonese Opera Academy to showcase their talent

     The Cantonese Opera Academy of Hong Kong Training Course - End of Term Performance 2015/16, presented by the Leisure and Cultural Services Department will be held in July, offering a great opportunity for the Academy's young Cantonese opera performers to showcase their talent and achievements onstage.

     The performance will include five Cantonese opera excerpts, namely "The Hunt War" from "Never-ending Love", "Visiting Lake" from "The Legend of the White Snake", "Shocked" from "The Legend of the White Snake", "Stealing the Flute" from "A Forced Match" and "Meeting on the City Tower". The performance will feature current students of the Academy including Premium Jiny So, Li Zi-rui, Chu Pok-ki, Chu Yin-yiu, Tsao Tsai I, Ip Tsz-yu, Cheung Lok-yi, Kwok Chun-hang, Li Yi-yan, Ma Yan-wai, Lui Chi-fung, Tse Siu-ki, Ng Sze-wing, Lai Tsz-lok, Cheung Siu-lun Roy, Wan Chi-hung and Lee Ching-yan, as well as students from the musical accompaniment class.

     The Cantonese Opera Academy of Hong Kong organises a variety of training courses to train performers, playwrights and instrument accompanists, among which is a four-year programme with professional tutors and senior artists that seeks to train performers in a progressive way.

     "The Cantonese Opera Academy of Hong Kong Training Course - End of Term Performance 2015/16" will be staged at 7.30pm on July 10 (Sunday) at the Auditorium of Ko Shan Theatre New Wing.
