Australian stationery brand Smiggle announced today (May 21) that it has opened its first store in Hong Kong as part of its Asia expansion.
With a colourful interior design, the Smiggle store at Telford Plaza in Kowloon Bay delivers trendy and creative products across multiple categories including writing tools, desktop accessories, books, pencil cases, bags, watches and clocks, as well as toys and games, according to the Managing Director, Mr John Cheston. The products cater to the needs of consumers of all ages who love to buy toys and novelty products.
Mr Cheston said that Smiggle has a unique proposition as an entertaining stationery and gift specialist in the market. Designed in Australia, Smiggle's products are often used to energise and organise the work space - be it the home, the school or the office. New products will be introduced frequently in the Hong Kong store, with an engaging and interactive marketing and service approach to offer customers a unique, refreshing and innovative shopping experience.
He continued, "Hong Kong is a dynamic city with a very energetic workforce. We see a lot of growth potential in the local kidult market, and our market research shows that these types of consumers love to decorate their homes and work-places. Smiggle releases over 800 new products each year, ensuring there is always something new and exciting available." The company is optimistic about the demand for its products and is going to open two stores in Maritime Square and Plaza Hollywood in late June this year.
