Temporary closure of some LCSD leisure and sports facilities

     The Leisure and Cultural Services Department (LCSD) announced today (May 18) that the following leisure and sports facilities will be temporarily closed:

(a) The turf pitch of Siu Lun Sports Ground in Tuen Mun District will be temporarily closed from May 20 to June 30 for turf maintenance works. During the closure period, the public may use the turf pitch of Tuen Mun Tang Shiu Kin Sports Ground in the same district.

(b) The turf pitch of Tsing Yi Sports Ground in Kwai Tsing District will be temporarily closed from May 20 to July 14 for turf maintenance works, while the running track will remain open. During the closure period, the public may use the turf pitch of Kwai Chung Sports Ground in the same district.

(c) The squash courts and the main arena of Kowloon Bay Sports Centre in Kwun Tong District will be temporarily closed, respectively from June 1 to 30 and from June 13 to 24, for improvement works. During the closure periods, the public may use the nearby Ngau Tau Kok Road Sports Centre or Chun Wah Road Sports Centre.

(d) The 11 a-side artificial turf soccer pitch of Kowloon Bay Park in Kwun Tong District will be temporarily closed from June 1 to October 31 for improvement works. During the closure period, the public may use the seven-a-side artificial turf soccer pitch of the park.  

(e) Sham Shui Po Sports Ground in Sham Shui Po District will be temporarily closed from June 1 to November 28 for track resurfacing and other improvement works. During the closure period, the public may use the nearby jogging tracks at Sham Shui Po Park and Lai Chi Kok Park.

     For the most up-to-date closure schedules of the above leisure and sports facilities, the public may refer to the notices at the venues or contact venue staff directly.
